I also felt that Julie’s light-hearted personality would jive well with Karina’s serene presence. It was important for us that Karina felt comfortable with the people she was working with that day. I think it worked as they seemed to get along famously on the day of the shoot.
I loved bringing these formidable women together. I truly believe that building an effective network amongst ourselves creates better opportunities for all of us who work in our various industries as well as those families we yearn to serve. I am always thankful for organizations such as Hudson Valley Women in Business and Wisdom of Women that create avenues for meeting new people I can foster relationships and potentially work with, whether now or sometime down the road.
The warm welcome and tremendous support that I’ve received from these groups is invaluable and has truly evoked a sense of belonging in me.
One simply cannot overstate the value of being a part of a tribe of diverse yet similar-minded women coming together, cooking up a storm of ideas, imparting our cultural background and sharing the best of ourselves with each other. In our evolution as humans, being a part of a pack kept us stronger and ensured our survival. It’s still very applicable even in these modern days. In fact, if we can learn from our history, there might be hope for a better world for our future generation. For my precious nephew Primo and for little baby Antonopolous.
